Craft Project
Not a lot going on in the Duncan house recently. It’s been cold so we’ve stayed inside; Ryan and Lucas are going stir crazy, if you know my two boys you know that is not surprising. I ,however, was out today for a baby shower...so fun. It is always awesome to be a part…even a small part, of something so special. I loved being pregnant and I love being a mommy so it is great to chat and share stories with others. I don’t have recent pictures of Luke to share but I have opted to post some pictures of the gift I created for the mommy-to-be.
These are the baby’s initials and a few detailed pictures(I blurred the baby's name so it may look wierd).
Let me know what you think…

My mom crafted some for Lucas and gave them to me at my baby shower, needless to say I loved them. Since then every baby shower I’ve gone to I have made them. I really enjoy doing so and wouldn’t mind doing them for others as well… Do you think I could sell them, do you think people would be interested in buying them? I don’t know just throwing ideas out there...I'm for hire.
I also customized some burp cloths, bibs and a couple of blankets for her…didn’t get pictures. :( But the mommy-to-be seemed to really like them and so I guess I’ll continue to embroider and create for the special babies…well maybe for the mommies because we all know the babies could care less what they spit up on. :)

My New Friend Chuck
Monday was a fun day for the Duncan Family. On top of being Mommy’s Birthday we got to enjoy the wonderful world of Chuck E. Cheese. Ryan’s sister and brother invited us to join them and the cousins.
Oh Chuck E. Cheese, fond memories I have as a child spending time at your games and in front of your stage as you and your other mechanical friends stiffly perform the birthday song.
In the eyes of a child this is the ultimate joy zone, in the eyes of this parent it is the ultimate place to toss cash at average pizza, short rides and old school games, not to mention you can walk away with a cheap toy and possibly a communicable disease of some sort. With that being said we had a GREAT time! Luke had so much fun going from one ride to another, back and forth, climbing and crawling up on things, and watching the big kids play…lets not forget the face stuffing with Pizza.
One of Luke's Favorites was the little TowTruck
This Tella Tubby Ride turn small half circles but ooohhh the buttons to push!
"Come on Stuart, you're safe with me"
"Come on Stuart, you're safe with me"
The Monster Truck was a big hit with all the cousins.
Of Course we can't forget the big kids
Fun for all, Thank you to the cousins and Aunts and Uncles for inviting us along, it was a blast to see this thru Luke's eyes.

We're Back
Okay so maybe I shouldn’t have started the blog until I was settled in our new place…it has kind of stalled my promise of consistency. The office is organized and I feel as though I can work or blog comfortably.
The disaster
The disaster
(tell me it wouldn't be hard to work in here)

It's a new year!
Here we are 2009, and here we are introducing ourselves, The Duncan Family, to the blogging community. I’m giving in and taking the plunge into this new, (new to me anyway) very popular world where bloggers share pieces of their lives with friends and family…and sometimes the whole world.
I will start by saying that you all are sure to see bad grammar and misspelled words and misuse of words, I don’t claim to have an English degree but I will try my best to make my posts legiable…or is that legible. Our site will be clean and family friendly so no worries when clicking our link.
The motivation behind me starting this blog has a little to do with outside pressure but mostly becasue it can be much nicer and family oriented than some of the other posting sites I’ve used, plus you don’t seem to be bombarded with ads for kooky products.
Bare with me as I learn the ins and outs of posting and “decorating” our site. Also know that I will try to be consistent because I know there of those of you sitting on the edge of your seats just waiting to see what is going on in our small part of the world….okay maybe not but I’ll still try to be a good blogger. I know I’ll have plenty of blogging friends that will help me with the terminology of this internet world, I hope they will share their tips with me and help our site reach its fullest potential.
I hope you all will enjoy our posts!
